Nathaniel Goldberg’s second campaign for Piazza Sempione, titled “A City, A Woman,” is composed of a series of snapshots tracing a woman during her busy day. Goldberg employed a special crane to hoist himself 60 feet above the New York city pavement in order to capture a special angle on model Morgane Dubled. The unique vantage point serves to highlight the natural environment and allows the graphic quality of the photos to clearly emerge. Goldberg was inspired by the film “Lost in Translation” for the urban mood and though the shoot took place in New York City, the resulting effect relates to any cement-lined modern metropolis that moves at a speedy pace. This woman’s allure, simplicity and elegance offer a thoughtful counter point to the fast city in which she lives.
